Since 2008

Before coming to work at The Village Vets, Chamblee had been bringing in dogs and cats for several years, that she had rescued and were in need of veterinary care.   Today she continues to rescue homeless and/or abused animals, ensuring they receive the medical attention needed and

then afterwards finding them permanent and loving homes.  Chamblee is a true animal activist.  She is also an avid cyclist and has competed in quite a few races over the years.  Along with the dogs she fosters off and on,  Chamblee has four dogs of her own; Boo, Sam, Murphy and Toby (above); all of which were rescues.

Why she does this: "Animals are my greatest passion in life".

Since 2010

Victoria grew up traveling and living in various countries with the Foreign Service.  She recently moved to Atlanta (Buckhead) because "Georgia is bully-breed friendly, compared to other states".  Victoria says that she is passionate about animals, as well as traveling, creating art, volunteering, environmental activism and holistic health.

Victoria  has four dogs - a pit bull named "Barsky", an English Setter named "Dulce", a sheltie named "Dot" and the newest member of her canine family, "Manola".  She also has two rabbits, four cats and several turtles.  All of her pets were rescues.  Victoria plans to continue school while in Georgia, focusing on genetics, nutrition, and biomedical ethics.

Why she does this:  "Working at The Village Vets is an amazing experience because the staff and clients are true animal advocates and because the clinic works so closely with local rescue groups".

Since 2009

Cat was born in Decatur and has spent her whole life in this area.  She enjoys reading in her spare time as well as creating art (specifically mosaics).  Cat says she also LOVES to cook. Cat does not have any pets at this time but she and her boyfriend, Fritz, are planning to adopt a Pit Bull from a rescue organization in the near future.

Why she does this: "Working with animals gives me a sense of satisfaction that has not been equated by any other career I have tried.  The other people I work with here all feel the same way and that's a combination that's as good as it gets!"
