Dr. Baden was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin before moving to Atlanta in 2001. After initially working at Zoo Atlanta, she joined The Village Vets family as a veterinary technician. In 2005, she left to attend vet school at the University of Georgia, where she served as the Class of 2009 president and worked as the Nestle Purina student representative. Dr. Baden graduated vet school in May, 2009.
Dr. Baden lives in Decatur (Oakhurst) with her husband David, and their four-legged children - one mix-breed dog (Clinton), and three cats (Toes, Frankfurter, and Dinah) and the occasional foster kitten.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking with Dave and the dog, traveling, listening to live music, and "watching the lightening bugs at night on a screened porch". Her special veterinary interests include behavioral, nutritional, and exotic animal medicine.
NOTE: Dr. Baden took leave in summer of 2010 to join her husband abroad as he heads there to start a new position (in Africa! ). She will be gone for a couple of years, but still considered an important part of our team.
